Southern California Edison has implemented a Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) due to high winds in our area.

The power outage has impacted the phone and internet at our the District office and the following school sites:

📍Heald Academy
📍Keith McCarthy Academy
📍Ortega High School
📍Lakeside High School
📍Elsinore Elementary
📍Temescal Canyon High School
📍Jeannette Ellis Center

Southern California Edison has implemented a Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) due to high winds in our area.

The power outage has impacted the phone and internet at our the District office. We will provide an update once power is restored.

Although we have seen some improvements in fire conditions, several areas in our district remain under evacuation orders.  As a result, all LEUSD schools will be closed tomorrow for students, Friday, September 13, 2024. In addition, the ELOP Saturday program scheduled for Saturday, September 14, 2024, has been canceled.

All LEUSD schools will be closed today, Thursday, September 12, 2024. We are working closely with our public safety and emergency partners to determine when we can reopen schools.

The closure includes the before- and after-school programs, athletic events, and extracurricular activities.

As the local fire conditions have worsened and additional evacuation orders are now in place, all LEUSD schools will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, September 11, 2024. This includes the before and after-school programs, athletic events, and extra-curricular activities.
