LEUSD's Career and Technical Education (CTE) provides students with technical skills, integrated activities, knowledge and work ethic necessary for successful performance in a globally competitive workforce. CTE will be continually examined through a review of issues, trends, and needs affecting the field, to reposition and meet its goals and objectives in our schools.

Career & Technical Education is an integral part of secondary and post-secondary public education and is designed to educate students about and for careers.

Career & Technical Education provides students with the technical skills, knowledge, and training necessary to succeed in specific occupations and careers.
It also prepares students for the world of work by introducing them to workplace competencies that are essential no matter what career they choose.
Career & Technical Education takes academic content and makes it accessible to students by providing it in a hands-on context.

Career Pathways and A-G Approved Classes

LEUSD offers robust programs of study organized in career pathways, academies, and A-G approved course work. Many Career and Technical Education classes are articulated with local community colleges to provide a seamless transition from high school to post-secondary education, so students may continue with occupational training and professional certification.
