Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA)

The Lake Elsinore PTSA Council provides leadership and organizational advice and support to the PTAs within the Lake Elsinore Unified School District. The Council meets regularly with PTA presidents and surveys the units for common needs and concerns. The Council also builds relationships among units and shares ideas, concerns and solutions.

The Lake Elsinore PTSA Council is part of the California state PTA and the National PTA. For over a century, PTA has been the nation’s oldest and largest volunteer association working on issues affecting education, youth, and families. PTA volunteers work in our schools and communities and also advocate at the state and national level to support adequate funding for public schools and for laws to protect the health and welfare of children. The California State PTA has been instrumental in efforts to support small class size, bring arts and physical education back into our schools, and ban junk food at school.

Many local PTAs at the middle and high school levels call themselves PTSAs to welcome and encourage student members’ involvement.
