This is the Thursday PM school closure update for students and families within the Holy burn hazard area, for students of Rice Canyon ES, Withrow ES, Luiseño ES, Terra Cotta MS, and Lakeside HS.
In coordination with County emergency management officials, the following school closures will continue through Friday, November 30, 2018:
- Rice Canyon Elementary-closed
- Withrow Elementary-closed
- Luiseño School-closed
- Terra Cotta Middle School-closed
Lakeside High School will be OPEN on Friday, November 30, because of its location away from active mandatory evacuation zones. All other district K-12 schools will also be open Friday.
School bus transportation will continue to be available to students picked up in burn scar areas that are not under mandatory evacuation, subject to road conditions.
There will be no ThinkTogether after school program or childcare services due to school closures continuing through Friday.
The district will update student families about any change in school closure status again on Friday afternoon, so please check email, texts and phone messages for updates.
Temescal Canyon High School is a designated evacuation center until mandatory evacuations are lifted. The school is located at 28755 El Toro Road, Lake Elsinore.
